PWD in 2012 Mardi Gras!

PWD is excited to announce that we're once again taking part in the Sydney Mardi Gras! We'll be marching, shouting and wheeling our way through the city to promote the sexual right of people with disability in the most fabulous way possible.

To see the amount of fun we had last year, with an entry that ended up winning the Judges Prize at the Mardi Gras Awards!

This year we’re hoping to do the same thing, only bigger and better than ever and we’d love you to join!

Our theme: "Sexuality and Sex/Gender Diversity do not end with disability”.

Some info for the event:

The Parade will take place on Saturday March 3, from 7.45pm-10pm, though you will need to be available from about 5:30-6pm (I’ll confirm times closer to the date);
Participants will be provided with PWD T-shirts;
More information will be sent out closer to the event, with a formal Briefing Meeting for all participants the week before.

10-13 October 2011: Durban, South Africa Disabled Peoples' International 8th World Assembly.

From 10–13 October, a delegation of Australian people with disability from People with Disability Australia (PWD) and the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) are representing Australia at the Disabled Peoples’ International (DPI) 8th World Assembly in Durban, South Africa.
