Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras has lots to celebrate this year - the iconic parade is turning 40, same-sex marriage laws passed recently and Cher is joining the party! For People with Disability Australia (PWDA), the Mardi Gras is also a time to recognise that people with disability aren’t all heterosexual and, like everyone, have a right to sexual expression and inclusion.  Papazian 160305 3999

Media Release: We call on this Parliament to deliver secure, sustainable and sufficient funding for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

A Joint Statement by Disabled People’s Organisations Australia, Australian Federation of Disability Organisations, and the Australian Council of Social Service

Despite a record surplus, the NSW Government is reducing spending on people with disability, as the NDIS rolls out and the NSW disability budgets are reduced.

This means that people with disability, who do not receive an NDIS package, will no longer have any support.
