Thank you for considering making a bequest to PWDA
Your contribution will provide support to the ongoing need for advocating and supporting people with disability in our community into the future by an organisation directed and controlled by people with disability themselves.
Making bequest is fairly straightforward and we recommend consulting a solicitor to ensure you understand what is required and that your intentions are accurately reflected in your Will.
Wills and Bequests Information Booklet
Our free booklet Your Legacy – A brighter future for all people with disability provides information on preparing your will and explains how you can use your will to leave a bequest to PWDA.
Leaving a bequest to PWDA
You can leave a legacy to PWDA by making a specific bequest, leaving your entire estate or a percentage of the residue of your estate.
After making provisions for those you love, here are some options if you wish to leave a bequest to PWDA.
- Specific Bequest: You can give a specific type of gift, such as money, property, stocks or shares to PWDA
- Percentage or Fractional Bequest: You can leave a percentage or a fraction of your estate to PWDA. This means that if your estate grows or is depleted by unforeseen circumstances, your personal beneficiaries will not be disadvantaged.
- Residual Bequest: After other personal beneficiaries have been considered, you can leave the whole of part of the residue of your estate to PWDA,
- Whole Estate Bequest: You may choose to leave your entire estate to PWDA
