We will be conducting targeted consultation with both young people with disability and youth workers as a part of the Creating Access project. This is to ensure we understand the barriers faced by young people with disability when accessing youth services. We also want to understand the areas in which youth workers would like to increase their knowledge and confidence in supporting young people with disability.
The results from these surveys will guide People with Disability Australia and Youth Action in the creation of ‘Disability Inclusion Toolkit’ available to the youth sector, as part of the Creating Access project.
The toolkit will be used to help make youth services more accessible to young people with disability. It will also have resources included to support young people with disability advocate for things that are important to them, and information about topics that young people and youth workers want to learn more about.

This survey has been developed by PWDA and Youth Action to help us understand some of the barriers young people with disability are facing when accessing youth services in NSW. We also want to learn more about your understanding of self-advocacy, and find out what kinds of information you would like to learn more about.
We would love to hear from you about your experiences as a person with disability accessing youth services – fill in our quick consultation survey.
