On behalf of both People with Disability Australia and Youth Action, we wanted to thank everyone who submitted their expression of interest to be part of the Creating Access advisory group!
We received an overwhelming number of amazing young people with disability and youth sector representatives apply, which made the selection process very difficult with so many passionate people to choose from. We are very excited and lucky to have recruited 4 young people with disability from across NSW, which also includes our advisory group chair, and 3 youth sector representatives who will all help oversee and steer the project.
We would like to introduce you to our fantastic advisory group members who will be sharing their experience, passion and expertise with us throughout the Creating Access project!
1. Gabriel who lives in Ryde and who is also our amazing chair for the Creating Access advisory group, Chloe who lives in Wollongong, Claire who lives in Newcastle and Kyle who lives in Tweed.
2. Jess, who is a representative from the Centre for Disability Studies, Lynn, who is a representative from the YMCA, and Jodie, who is a representative from Camden Council.
3. Ash and Ruth who are the Creating Access project team from PWDA and Youth Action.
Again, a big thanks to everyone for sending through your applications, and if you would like to read more about the Creating Access advisory group, click onto the ‘Additional Information’ tab to learn more.
