Securing prosperous futures: The vital link between inclusive education and employment
October 15 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm UTC+10
About the forum
All students with disability in NSW should have access to open employment opportunities. This forum, hosted by People with Disability Australia and Family Advocacy, will discuss how an inclusive education system can support students with disability to transition into open employment. Drawing on the lived experience of young people and their families, we will explore what works and what has not worked in transition planning. We will share the benefits of starting the Discovery Process early, a central element of the Customised Employment model, to successfully support the development of a student’s will and preferences in their career choices.
