Senior Manager, Media and Communications

People with Disability Australia (PWDA) is looking for a dynamic innovative Senior Manager in Media and Communications. Join the senior team at PWDA to lead a passionate, high-performing and agile Media and Communications team at this disability confident organisation!

Be part of a community peer-led organisation made up of, led and governed by people with disability, that values your strategic leadership, advice and direction in all aspects of PWDA’s media, communications, and campaign activities.

You will have an established network which you will use to help enhance the agency’s excellent reputation amongst people with disability, the government, media and all key stakeholders, and increase our capacity in representing people with disability; showcasing the expertise, knowledge and capacity of all people with disability across our Australian society.

While helping to deliver the current PWDA strategic and business plans, you will also help grow an engaged PWDA membership, oversee membership events and develop fundraising and sponsorship opportunities, in partnership with colleagues, Board Directors, and external stakeholders.

Individual Advocate NSW, Futures Fund

The Individual Advocate provides advocacy support to people with disability to promote, protect, and realise their human, legal, and service user rights, in accordance with the National Disability Service Standards.

Advocates promote self-advocacy, self-determination, and supported decision-making principles to champion people with disability having choice and control over our own lives.

Award Classification: Level 5 Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services (SCHADS) Award 2010, PWDA EBA rate, plus super and salary sacrificing.

Request for Proposal: PWDA Training Program Business Development Plan

We’re looking for contractors to help us grow PWDA’s training program!

The workshops and training activities we provide are developed and presented by people with disability, and focus on providing information in a productive and engaging format. We have workshops on everything from disability awareness to NDIS advocacy to healthy sexual relationships to abuse and neglect.
