People with Disability Australia (PWDA) has written an open letter to the Prime Minister of the 48th Parliament of Australia congratulating the Labor Party on its election victory. PWDA welcomes the Labor Party commitments to fairness, equality, and leaving no one behind. In this next term, we urge the government to secure NDIS funding, provide consistent foundational supports, ensure income supports meet the true cost of disability, strengthen human rights protections, and build a truly inclusive society.

PWDA, the national disability rights and representative organisation and peak for LGBTIQA+ people with disability, believes the framework has potential to deliver meaningful improvements but progress will depend on how it is implemented.
