PWDA Welcomes National Action Plan for LGBTIQA+ Health and Wellbeing, Calls for Strong Implementation

People with Disability Australia (PWDA) welcomes the Australian Government’s release of the National Action Plan for the Health and Wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ People 2025–2035 as an important step toward equitable health care for LGBTIQA+ people with disability. PWDA, the national disability rights and representative organisation and peak for LGBTIQA+ people with disability, believes the framework has potential to deliver meaningful improvements but progress will depend on how it is implemented.

On Tuesday 3 December 2024, to mark International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), our way, People with Disability Australia (PWDA) hosted A Voice of Our Own – a national online conference created by and for people with disability.

Join the Advancing Women project in 2025

People with Disability Australia (PWDA) invites organisations to be part of the Advancing Women project – a groundbreaking project designed to break down barriers and create opportunities for leadership and workforce participation of women, feminine-identifying, and non-binary people with disability in Australia.

Submission of All Means All to the Better and Fairer (Funding and Reform) Bill 2024

On 23 October 2024, People with Disability Australia joined 13 other organisations to endorse the All Means All submission to the Federal Parliament’s Senate Education and Employment Committee inquiry into the Better and Fairer Schools (Funding and Reform) Bill 2024 (Cth).
