LGBTQIA+ Advisory Group Coordinator

Description
Please note: Applications from people who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and have a disability will be given preference.
Part-time (3 days – 21 hours per week) – Initially 6 months with the possibility of extension.

About the Role
The LGBTQIA+ Advisory Group Coordinator will be responsible for leading the setup and initial coordination of our new Advisory Group for the Peak.

This role involves leading the administration and engagement of the group, coordinating strategy development, and collaborating with the Systemic Advocacy, Individual Advocacy, People & Culture and Communications teams on event participation and management.

About You
You will leverage your understanding of the current challenges within the LGBTQIA+ and disability communities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. Exceptional organisational and planning abilities, along with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, are required. Additionally, you will be responsible for researching, attending, and contributing to LGBTQIA+ community events.

Please note that a condition of employment is that successful candidates must provide a current and valid Working with Children Check and will be required to complete a national police check at PWDA’s expense.
