- New NDIS support lists have started. This is what we know so far. On Tuesday 1 October 2024, the Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) released the NDIS support lists that define what supports the NDIS can pay for. This blog post focuses on the NDIS support lists and what we currently know about them.
- Joint Statement: On the rights of people with disability in Gaza People with Disability Australia has endorsed a joint statement from WWDA and NEDA who are deeply concerned about the events we are witnessing in Gaza and other conflict-affected areas across the world.
- Have your say on what the NDIS should fund The federal government wants to change the rules about what you can use NDIS funds for. They have created draft rules, which list what supports you can and cannot use NDIS money for. We want you to have your say on these draft rules.

- NSW budget of “must haves” should have had people with disability at its heartPeople with Disability Australia (PWDA) has welcomed the NSW Government’s investment in housing and cost-of-living relief but is disappointed by the lack of funding for people with disabilities in today’s NSW Budget.
- PWDA calls for action to embed rights and end segregation of people with disability People with Disability Australia (PWDA), the national cross-disability peak body and representative organisation, has reissued its call for governments to prioritise and fund action plans that support the transition away from segregated housing, employment, and education; eliminate restrictive practices; and embed and protect disability rights in domestic law. The call follows today’s release of the Public consultation on the Disability Royal Commission Summary report by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

- Have your say on PWDA’s response to the NDIS Review.PWDA is hosting two online consultation sessions for you – our members – to share your views on some of the changes proposed by the NDIS Review Final Report and the recently tabled NDIS Reform Bill. We want our members’ voices to be reflected in our response to the NDIS Review, submissions to the NDIS Provider and Workforce Registration Taskforce and in our advocacy to federal, state and territory governments.
