MEDIA ALERT: Disability advocates, including inaugural National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) chairman Mr Bruce Bonyhady, will today warn a federal senate inquiry about proposed changes to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
In a session of federal parliament likely to be streamed online at 10am-5pm AEDT today, the advocates will speak to a Senate Community Affairs Legislation Committee’s inquiry about proposed changes to the NDIS Act found in the proposed National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Participant Service Guarantee and Other Measures) Bill 2021.
The advocates giving evidence today will include People with Disability Australia (PWDA) senior manager of policy Giancarlo de Vera, senior policy and research officer Frances Quan Farrant, senior manager of individual advocacy (QLD) Ted Jensen and former NDIA chair Bonyhady.
PWDA and Bonyhady’s submissions to the senate inquiry have been published online ahead of the hearing.
