The NDIS funds ordinary life
The NDIS funds the reasonable and necessary supports people with disability rely on to live everyday life. Getting out of bed. Going to work. Holding our children. Eating. Breathing. These are the things the NDIS makes possible.
We cannot afford to lose these supports.
The Albanese Government has signalled it will further reduce the growth of the NDIS as part of its savings measures in the Federal Budget on 12 May.
Reducing growth means cutting the supports people rely on to live.
If growth is reduced by tightening eligibility and capping or restricting supports people with disability lose access to what they need to live ordinary lives.
Those cuts do not disappear. They show up somewhere else. Less support. More pressure on families. More people ending up in hospitals, aged care and crisis services that are already stretched.
We are already seeing the consequences of previous growth reductions. Deterioration. Injury. In some cases, death. We cannot afford more.

Sharing your story can be simple. You can share:
- One or two sentences
- A short paragraph
- A photo with a caption
- A short video (phone or computer recording is perfect)
You might like to start your story with:
