“We are PWDA, Our Voices, Our Journey”

This IDPwD, PWDA is calling on our members, supporters and allies to share stories and images with us about PWDA’s history, activities and work.

Tuesday 12 November 2024

Share your memories of PWDA history to celebrate the voices that have shaped us.

Since 1981, PWDA has been leading the charge in Australia for advancing and protecting the rights, health and wellbeing of people with disability.

Our members and community have helped shape the disability rights movement and our organisation for more than four decades.

To help mark International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), this year PWDA is calling on our members, supporters and allies – both past and present – to share stories and images with us about PWDA’s history, activities and work.

Once we have collected them, we will use these stories and images in a range of ways to highlight the achievements and challenges of our members and PWDA in the disability rights movement.

Contact us on 1800 422 015 or pwd@pwd.org.au if you have any questions.

You can read more about the rich history of disability rights in Australia and the history of PWDA – Our History and History of Australia’s disability movement.

Were you part of a memorable moment in PWDA’s history? Share your story or photo with us to celebrate the voices that have shaped us.
