PWDA Member News: Dan Stubbs, Victoria’s Public Advocate on When I Was Young podcast
Friday 20 March

From losing sight at 14 to leading ACT Council of Social Services (ACTCOSS) at 29 and advocacy for Australia’s first Bill of Rights, his years living and working across the Pacific, where he saw firsthand why disability inclusion must be built in from the start, not treated as an addon — a principle that continues to guide his leadership today.
Dan’s path returned to Victoria to build the Disability Worker Commission and now lead the Office of the Public Advocate leading a passionate team of staff and volunteers, who work every day to protect and promote the human rights and dignity of people with disability, who are often unseen in the community.
